What's a Puggle?

Our Puggles are ACHC registerable hybrids. Be aware that many other puggles are not.

The Mommy is a purebread beagle who is registered with the APRI & the AKR, and whose parents are both AKC Registered.

Daddy is a purebred AKC Champion Bloodlines Registered pug, and is also registered with the APRI and the AKR.

Our puppies are F1 (First Generation) hybrids.  Studies have shown that F1 hybrids are the healthiest. This particular hybrid is a wonderful blend.  The longer nose of the beagle decreases the risk of breathing problems passed on to the Puggle, and the beagle reduces hip dysplasia that is a pug carried trait, but not a trait of the beagle.

You may or not know that pugs are heavy shedders, beagles not so much, therefor your puggle will be a light to moderate shedding dog.

Many of the genetic problems that usually occur with the purebreds, are eliminated.

Grooming needs of the puggle are very basic.  Shampooing, taking care of ears, clipping toe nails, and a once weekly brushing will do the trick.  If your puggle inherits a wrinkle across the top of the nose, that wrinkle will require at least once weekly cleaning and drying with a soft cloth and a gentle touch.  My groomer recommends using white vinegar to eliminate any odor or stains originating from the wrinkle.  Please make sure you towel dry the area well, or bacterial growth becomes a problem.

The puggle also has that oh so cute, curly tail.

Besides all of that, the Puggle is thee absolute cutest puppy out there...that's why everyone has gone dog-gone crazy to get ahold of one!  Can I get a woof, woof?
